Farm Bill Finally Ends Bad Subsidies and Lefties Support Food Stamp Cuts

The controversial farm bill has been approved by the House and will head to the Senate and likely signed by President Barack Obama, and the bill finally ends what many believe are bad subsidies (such as those that provide direct payments to farmers, mostly large corporate non-family owned, whether they grew crops or not).

Amy Klobuchar, as was reported by KEYC, supported the one percent reduction in food stamp eligibility, as did the other lefty, Tim Walz. Walz also criticized a farm bill that has long been scrutinized by the Environmental Working Group and other watchdog food, environment and consumer advocates for providing large subsidies that have mostly gone to large corporate farms, as the Mankato Free Press reported with content from the Associated Press (AP).
